Carlos Campos has an innate grasp of the Latin rhythms as applied to piano and guitar playing; here he presents discussion on the rhythms and then eight original (advanced) songs using the concepts. Each has chords for comping and accompaniment, plus several variations. Styles featured are salsa, mambo, nanigo, cha cha, bolero, songo, merengue, and baiao.
The cd includes examples of eight songs, with demo tracks and play along tracks of each.
