Scale Exercise in G

Ok, it's time for scales; and this 5 minute exercise will help you make progress. It's the G major scale for two octaves, but during the long note at the end of the phrase the tempo increases. And each time it repeats the tempo increases a little bit more. Once you master it with eighth notes, play the double time version (sixteenths over the same piano accompaniment) and see if you can keep up.

If you're going to play a piece today, it's a good idea to warm up with scales in that same key. This exercise is provided in all keys.
