the author calls his collection "A Complete Jazz Vocabulary for the Improvising Musician" and this really does give any treble clef musician an enormous bag of tricks (or bag of licks) to pull from.
Each lick is 4 bars long, has chord symbols for reference, and stick mostly to the keys of C and Cm (so it's not just a few licks transposed!).
There are sections for essential licks, stylistic licks, and licks over standard progressions. A must for the improvising musician to develop an ear for the jazz style.
