Mozart's famous K622 in A is generally performed on a standard A clarinet. However, the piece was originally written for bassett clarinet in A, which has a greater range than today's A clarinet (it goes down to low C, concert A).
Those who want to play the piece authentically should have a bassett clarinet, however there have been no published versions of the piece that contain the low passages that take advantage of that extra range.
Until now! This CD set contains sheet music of our version for standard A clarinet, plus a play-along CD of the piano accompaniment. Also on the CD is a printable data file of our version for bassett clarinet with low passages.
Also on the CD is a printable file of the piano accompaniment in A, for those who want to perform this piece with a pianist.
Plus the CD contains 23 short rehearsal MP3s corresponding to rehearsal letter points in the music. To get started or to smooth out trouble spots, you can work on just one section at a time. You would have to load these onto your computer or MP3 player from the CD.

The sheet music features clear, crisp printing, on heavyweight stock. We've taken special care to see to it that there are no awkward page turns - you always have at least a full measure of rest to turn the page. The book has special comb binding so it lays flat and stays open.
There are fine bassett clarinets made by Buffet and Leblanc, or you can get an extended lower joint for your A clarinet to make it into a bassett clarinet - to see this go to www.chadashclarinet.com/basset.htm.
