This is a piece by one of the leading young composers of South America. His music has been performed in both Europe and North and South America by renowned soloists, chamber groups, and orchestras. Originally for Clarinet and Orchestra, this is the piano reduction.
This is a work that uses the altissimo register extensively, with emphasis on longer tones and simpler melodic lines. It's playable by intermediate students and above who are comfortable with (or who want to work on) the higher registers.
